Presentation of innovative digital applications of the Project Hermes

In the framework of the project HERMES, the scientifically responsible for PB5 team prof. Chrysostomos Stylios participated in the Information Day of the completion of the project CD-ETA: Collaborative Digitization of Natural & Cultural Environment, which took place online on 1 & 2 December 2020.

Ιinitially, he referred to the objectives of the project, which include:

  • The development of innovative information technologies, in order to, promotes the common cultural heritage.
  • Design and creation of a virtual environment to historical monuments of the Municipality of Arta.
  • Augmented reality application at the Castle of Arta, which is very friendly to use and its menu includes 3 simple categories: 1) History of the Castle of Arta (Texts, Gallery) 2) AR Mode (3D models and storytelling for the Tour of the Castle of Arta) 3) Exit

 

Concluding, Prof. Stylios highlighted the significance of promoting Cultural Heritage in the two territories (Italy-Greece).
